Beers On Tap

Here are the beers we offer:

Grasshopper (Pilsner):  This is a traditional Czechoslovakian beer – true to the style and roots of Pilsen.  Ben’s first recipe (not entirely on purpose) it is a lovely and mild beer that can be enjoyed by all.  Here are the details:

Color – Straw (SRM 5)

Bitterness – mild – (22 IBUs)

Alcohol by Volume (ABV) – 5%

Paw Paw American Steam Ale:  This is our flagship beer, brewed with a yeast we (with the help of microbiologist JR Kent in Jackson, MS) isolated from the fruits of the Paw Paw trees that grow along the banks of the Norfork River.  We brew this as a classic American Steam beer (also known as a California Common beer).  It is malt forward, crisp with a dry finish and easy to enjoy!  Come have a taste of Nature in Arkansas – this is truly Nature’s Beer®.  Available nowhere else, here are the figures on the Paw Paw:

Color – slightly orange, and (SRM 12)

Bitterness – mild – (30 IBUs)

Alcohol by Volume (ABV) – 5%

Pale Ale:  Made for the beer lover looking for a little more “umph” our American Pale Ale, made with Citra hops, is strong, lemony and easy to enjoy!  We hope you do.  Here are the specs:

Color – Bright yellow (SRM 8)

Bitterness – Middle – (45 IBUs)

Alcohol by Volume (ABV) – 6.6%

Arkansas Red IPA:  A mix of traditions – an Arkansas Red made as a West Coast IPA.  Tangy and mellow at the same time, the details on our Arkansas Red IPA are:

Color – Light Red and clear (SRM 13)

Bitterness – hoppy- (45 IBUs)

Alcohol by Volume (ABV) – 6%

American Amber Ale:  A strong beer with depth, character and so many flavors that it will hold your interest as it reveals the different ingredients from which it is made.  Sweet with a clean finish, and a huge caramel note, the details on our American Amber Ale are:

Color – Brown and clear (SRM 18)

Bitterness – hoppy- (55 IBUs)

Alcohol by Volume (ABV) – 5.7%

Dry Irish Stout:  A “day drinker” – with a low calorie content, our Dry Irish Stout pleases with strong chocolate and nutty notes.  Served colder (American style) and on CO2 (not Nitrogen), our Stout is malty with a very clean finish.  It can be sipped and enjoyed over a great plate of cheese and conversation for hours:

Color – Dark (SRM 32)

Bitterness – mild (because of the malty balance) – (40 IBUs)

Alcohol by Volume (ABV) – 5%

Kölsch:  A unique style in that it is fermented with ale yeast, but then finished with lagering. The result is the best of both worlds: A light easy drinking pale that finishes crisp and clean.

Color –  light gold, verging on a sun-bleached straw (SRM 30)

Bitterness – balanced circle of malts. Low fermentation sweetness with notes of bitterness. (5 IBU’s)

Alcohol by Volume (ABV) – 5%

Cream Ale:  Spawned from the American light lager style, it’s brewed as an ale though it is sometimes finished with a lager yeast or with lager beer mixed into the final product.

Color – straw to medium golden (SRM 6)

Bitterness – usually well-attenuated, lending to a low to medium malty sweetness.  (37 IBU’s)

Alcohol by Volume (ABV) – 7%

Cider:   A refreshingly crisp beer, brewed with freshly pressed apples from Murphy Orchard

Color – pale to medium gold (SRM 0)

Bitterness – 5 IBU’s

NEIPA (aka The Scurvy Dog): Our New England IPA is a collaboration with home brewer, Tim Fields and Gene from Jack’s Package Store in Mountain Home, AR.   An unfiltered IPA that’s been aggressively hopped giving a refreshing taste of grapefruit.

Color – hazy straw to golden  (SRM 6)

Bitterness – Low to medium. Perceived impression of bitterness is soft and well-integrated into overall balance. (28 IBU’s)

Alcohol by Volume (ABV) – 6%

CREAMCYCLE: Sweet, cloudy IPA based beer with a great feeling of orange and vanilla notes, reminiscent of an Orange Cream Ice Cream Pop. Low hop profile. A true day drinker!

Color – cloudy golden (about an SRM of 6 or so)

Bitterness – Low to medium. Soft and sweet and overall well balanced. (28…possibly lower IBU)

4% ABV

Woodsman Lager: Crisp, light and a little lemony! Paw Paw yeast and lemon drop hops makes this a Summer favorite!
